Prof. Kuniko Ishiguro

Professor, Department of Business Economics

Prof. Ishiguro is a Professor in the Department of Business Economics at TIU, with a Ph.D. in East Asian Studies from the University of Sheffield. Her teaching and research interests include gender in business, strategic human resource management, career development, and East Asian political economy.

Prof. Omid Asgari

Associate Professor, Department of Business Economics

Dr. Asgari is Associate Professor in the Department of Business Economics at Tokyo International University (TIU). He holds a Ph.D. from the University Institute of Lisbon and specializes in neuromarketing, neurobranding, neuroleadership and neuroentrepreneurship. His research focuses on how neuroscience and behavior-science can be applied in marketing and entrepreneurship, including start-up funding and value creation strategies.

Our Founder's Journey

Farhan Morshed

Founder & President

Farhan Morshed is a passionate entrepreneur, educator, and changemaker from Bangladesh, currently pursuing a degree in Digital Business & Innovation at Tokyo International University. With over 5 years of experience in building organizations, Farhan has successfully developed 5 impactful platforms, worked with 15+ companies, and built 12+ international brands—each with a mission to empower and uplift communities.

He was honored as one of Bangladesh's Top 15 Creative Young Entrepreneurs in 2023 for his pioneering youth initiative, Ujjibon, which has supported over 5,000 students in career development and leadership.

When Farhan arrived in Japan, he envisioned scaling his impact globally. However, he noticed a gap within the international community at TIU—talented students were disconnected, and their potential untapped. Inspired by this, he founded TIU Impact Next on April 24, 2024, as a platform where students could collaborate, innovate, and bring their passion projects to life.

Since its inception, TIU Impact Next has partnered with Google for Startups Japan, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and Farhan continues to represent student voices as an ambassador for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025.

His dream is for TIU Impact Next to become a launchpad for student ideas, a space where passion meets purpose, and where every student feels empowered to lead, create, and make a difference—both in Japan and beyond.
